The USA used civilian-style aircraft against suspected narcotics smugglers.

The USA used civilian-style aircraft against suspected narcotics smugglers. There is no mention of whether that aircraft uses civilian markings. Or was it only civilian style, but used army markings? There is a possibility that the Pentagon tested the effectiveness of those weapons.

The system. The military used GBU-69s and AGM-176s. In those strikes. Says the Washington Post.

This means that if there were some P-8 Poseidons in that area, their mission was probably to detect a target. The AGM-176 Griffins and GBU-69 Small Glide Munitions are made for SOF purposes. Griffin is a lightweight, low-cost, multi-service air-launched weapon featuring GPS-aided inertial guidance and a semi-active laser seeker. GBU-69 utilizes semi-active laser and lattice-type control fins. They are similar to the GBU-57. For guidance and terminal stability. And. It is capable of receiving in-flight targeting updates via two-way data link. (Air & Space Forces Magazine). The GBU-69 seems. Being a miniature version of the GBU-57 MOP.

The P-8 will probably not carry those weapons. But CLT (Common Launch Tubes) tubes can probably be mounted in those aircraft. Those new weapons are meant for special missions. But they can also be used for anti-tank and other purposes. Like an attack. Against fire control radars and other precise targets like aircraft and helicopters.

But. It's also possible that the launching units of those systems can be mounted in the torpedo racks of the P-8. In some missions. The special system. Called common launch tubes (CLT) makes it possible. To install those weapons into various types of aircraft. The CLT systems are mounted. Into the MQ-9 Reaper drones, AC-130 gunships, but also into planes like Cessna Caravans. There is also a possibility.

That SOS operates with regular-looking cargo planes. Those tubes can deliver their ammunition from the doors of helicopters and almost all aircraft. This means that CLT tubes can also be installed in the P-8 or some Boeing cargo plane. Those systems can deliver those weapons from the back door of the aircraft. And that means any aircraft can turn dangerous.

Those CLT tubes can be mounted theoretically into any aircraft or helicopter. And they can give the high-accuracy, precise hit capacity to any aircraft. In those operations, the drone can point. The target of those small munitions. And then the aircraft delivers those missiles at a direct angle. If one of the missiles or GBU’s hits targets like aircraft, it can destroy them immediately.
